Decentral servo drive with flexible modularity
VLT® Integrated Servo Drive ISD® 520 combines a high-performance decentral servo motion drive with a servo motor in one compact unit. It is ideal for applications such as turntables, labeling, capping, and packaging in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, metal forming, material handling, and textile industries.
Motion control is integrated into the drive to run the motion sequence independently. This frees up capacity in the central PLC and makes the drive concept very flexible to use. Use ISD® 520 as part of the VLT® FlexMotion™ servo concept.
Fast and fail-safe installation
The Plug and Twist hybrid cabling concept, including supply and control voltage as well as functional safety and fieldbus wires, makes the installation fast, easy, fail-safe end cost-efficient. Since multiple decentral drive units can be powered by the combination of just one VLT® Power Supply Module PSM 510 and VLT® Decentral Access Module DAM 510 through simple daisy chain wiring, no distribution boxes are required, and you can reduce cabling to a minimum.
